Perched on a north-facing site, high in the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges, Blackcoat’s vineyard is defined by its commanding elevated position, fast draining clay soils, and cool climate. To marry site and vine, Anthony specialises in closely planted vines that are high quality, cool-climate varieties that thrive in Gippsland: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at the fore, supported by Riesling and Chenin Blanc.
